Game-Winning Ball From Raiders-Texans Game Will Be Given To Davis Family

Long-time Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis passed away on Saturday, a day before the Raiders were scheduled to take on the Houston Texans. On Sunday, the Raiders came out and stopped the Texans deep in the red zone to claim a 25-20 victory over the Texans. The win was emotional for Oakland, as seen from the expressions on the faces of the players, coaching staff and management afterwards.

According to Raiders blogger Steve Corkan, the game-winning ball will be given to the Davis family to honor the team's late owner. Safety Michael Huff wrapped up the Raiders win on Sunday by intercepting on Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the game's closing seconds. Huff, given the game ball in honor of the final play, will be the one to give the ball over to the Davis family.

The 3-2 Raiders return home for a three-game home stand that will certainly feature lots of emotion. With the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos coming to town, Oakland will look to honor Davis further with victories at home in the presence of a fan base
