Raiders vs. Jaguars: Jacksonville Overcomes Oakland 38-31 In Wild Second Half

Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) – Maurice Jones-Drew ran for a 30-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter to lift the AFC South-leading Jacksonville Jaguars to a hard-fought 38-31 win over the Oakland Raiders at EverBank Field.

David Garrard threw for 159 yards on 11-of-22 completions with three touchdowns and one interception, while Jones-Drew rushed for 101 yards on 23 carries for Jacksonville (8-5), which has won five of its last six. Rashad Jennings picked up 109 yards on the ground and ran for a 74-yard score in the victory.

Jason Campbell completed 21-of-30 throws for 324 yards and two touchdowns for the Raiders (6-7), who have dropped three of their last four contests. Darren McFadden rushed 16 times for 123 yards and two scores and also added a 67-yard receiving touchdown in defeat.

This was an incredibly entertaining game, particularly in the second half. However, the Raiders had a big opportunity to gain some ground and now have to wait and hope the Chargers can knock off the Chiefs in San Diego.
