The Oakland Raiders took a 7-0 lead courtesy of a huge catch and run by Darren McFadden. The Jaguars had forced the Raiders into a 3rd and 8 on their own 33 yard line. Out of the shotgun, Jason Campbell hit McFadden on a little dump off over the middle. McFadden cut to his right and proceeded to race down the sideline for a 67-yard touchdown.
McFadden was open in space among linebackers and they simply had no chance to get him. Once he got to the sideline he was off to the races as he got some excellent blocking from the Raiders wide receivers. The key was the matchup advantage and the help of the wide receivers clearing some space donwfield.
This is a key game for the Raiders as they look to at least maintain pace with the first place Chiefs. Kansas City is heading down to San Diego, which should be a tough game for them, particularly with Matt Cassel sidelined courtesy of an appendectomy.
