The Raiders have been one of the more injury riddled teams all season. Unlike most teams however, they are getting healthier as the season goes. This means for the first time all year, that Tom Cable may have the luxury of utilizing his full roster on Sunday.
The only players to sit out of practice on Friday were MLB Rolando McClain (foot) and WR Nick Miller (ankle). McClain is battling tendinitis and he was last week as well. There were no reports that the injury worsened and McClain played the entire game against the Chargers.
McClain did not practice at all this week, but he was very limited in practice leading up to the Chargers game and had one of his best games of the year. He is listed as questionable and there is no reason to think that he won’t be able to play. As for Nick Miller the issue may be moot. Miller has been inactive for the last two games.
Just because all the Raiders will be playing does not mean that they will all be healthy—far from it. The secondary is especially banged up. DBs Nnamdi Asomugha (ankle), Chris Johnson (groin), Tyvon Branch (shoulder) and Hiram Eugene (ribs) were all limited in practice. As Cable himself said:
You’ve still got (Johnson) and Branch and Nnamdi kind of gimping around.
DE Jarvis Moss (foot), DT John Henderson (knee) and WR Chaz Schilens (foot/knee) were all limited in practice on Friday and are all listed as questionable. It is safe to expect them all to be available to play on Sunday. TE Zach Miller rounded out the injury report and he has made the progression from his recent questionable status to probable.
