Raiders vs. Dolphins: Miami, Oakland Exchange Field Goals As Dolphins Lead 26-17

The Miami Dolphins are close to pulling out their sixth win of the season as they have taken a 26-17 lead on the Oakland Raiders with 4:03 remaining in the game. The Dolphins were leading 23-14 when the Raiders stormed down the field into field goal range courtesy of a 52-yard reception by Jacoby Ford. The Bruce Gradkowski pass appeared to be intercepted but Ford was able to slip the ball away from Chris Clemons and come down with the reception. Oakland then gained ten yards on a tripping penalty but stalled out and had to settle for a Sebastian Janikowski field goal to cut the lead to 23-17.

The Dolphins responded with a long drive of their own down to the Raiders eight yard line. The Oakland defense stiffened up and held the Dolphins to a 25-yard field goal. However, that field goal is huge because it made the game a two possession affair. Considering the Raiders offense has really consisted of two big plays, I don’t know if they have enough firepower to get two scores.
