NFL Schedule Week 12: The Raiders Quest For The AFC West Title

As the Raiders are right in the mix for the AFC West Title for the first time in eight years, we will be keeping a close eye on the Raiders standing, their division rivals and their upcoming games. The Oakland Raiders lost their one week hold on the top spot in the AFC West last week and maybe just as importantly they are now tied in second with the San Diego Chargers. In the end, the Raiders still control their own destiny. They are 3-0 in the division and they still have a game against the Chargers and Chiefs. At 3-7, The Broncos hang by the slimmest of threads and will likely need to win out to have a chance.

This week both the Chiefs and Chargers go on the road. The Chiefs will travel to Seattle to take on the 5-5 Seahawks. The Seahawks have had an up and down season, but they are always a much better team in the hostile environs of Qwest Field. The Chiefs like to win by running the ball and the strength of the Seahawks has been stopping the run.

The Chargers travel to Indianapolis to take on the banged up Colts in a battle of two of the best QBs in the league. This is the only non-division game remaining for the Chargers against a team that is not below .500. If they win, the rest of the AFC West should be nervous. The Chargers already look to be in the middle of one of their familiar second half surges and if they win this one, they have by far the easiest path to the title.
