Athletics Vs. Mariners Series Preview: TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers & More

The A's and Mariners will meet again in another three-game series. Oakland will draw Felix Hernandez in the opener.

The Oakland Athletics are reeling for the first time in the second half. They have lost Brandon McCarthy after a terrifying head injury, Brandon Inge is out for the rest of the season and they were just swept at home by their closest rivals the Los Angeles Angels.

Now the A's will try to regroup as they head to Safeco Field to take on the Seattle Mariners for a three-game series which begins on Friday. They'll face a tough task right away as they face the Mariners' ace in the series opener.

TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers

Friday's game will begin at 7:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on CSN California. You can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. A.J. Griffin will be the first of two Oakland pitchers attempting to preserve his perfect record. Griffin has the unfortunate task of pitching against Felix Hernandez, who is making a Cy Young push and enters the game at 13-6, with a 2.51 ERA.

Saturday's first pitch will be at 6:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on CSN California. You can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Brett Anderson is 3-for-3 since coming off the DL and has an ERA of under 1.00. He faces Hisashi Iwakuma, who has allowed just one earned run over his last four starts.

Sunday's series finale will get started at 1:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on CSN California. You can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Tom Milone gets the ball on Sunday and faces off against Seattle's wins leader, Jason Vargas.
