Athletics Vs. Yankees, Game Preview: Jarrod Parker, CC Sabathia Square Off

Both the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees are fighting for the playoff lives as the A's come to Yankee Stadium looking to continue their success against the Bronx Bombers. The A's will be going for their fifth straight win over a Yankees club riding a five-game wining streak on Friday with a possible pitcher's duel in the works.

Jarrod Parker (11-8, 3.51) takes the mound for Oakland, vying for his third straight win. He allowed just two runs in seven innings of ork en route to a 5-2 win over the Orioles on Saturday. He was solid against New York the last time they met, giving up one run in eight innings of a 2-1 victory on July 21.

New York will counter with CC Sabathia (13-6, 3.63 ERA), who is 3-0 with a 2.19 ERA in five previous starts against the A's, including a 1-0 mark with a 3.21 ERA in two outings this year. Sabathia has struggled as of late though, going 0-3 with a 4.67 ERA over his last four starts.

First pitch is set for 4:05 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN California and 95.7 The Game FM.
