The Oakland Athletics wrapped up the first half of their season with a .500 record and have looked like an impressive team as of late. It feels as though the squad is gelling and all of the pieces are falling into place. For the first time in a long time, an A's rebuilding season is actually beginning to feel like there is some rebuilding happening. If Oakland can keep up this kind of play through the second half, who knows what they may be capable of with some upgrades in the 2013 season?
Of course, that's not to say the A's have entirely written off this year yet. Far from it. On Friday, the A's will have the benefit of starting their second half with a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins -- one of the worst teams in the league. It may be a good way for Oakland to get a quick confidence boost and hit the ground running with a less-than-threatening road series.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers

Griffin is still looking for his first win as a member of the A's. He will bring his 1.50 ERA into the game as he goes up against Francisco Liriano, who is 3-7 with a 5.08 ERA.
First pitch on Saturday will be at 4:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on CSN California. You can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Tom Milone will try to keep his great season going. He'll enter the game with an 8-6 record and a 3.57 ERA. The Twins starter for Saturday is yet to be determined.
Sunday's finale starts at 11:10 a.m. PT and will be televised on CSN California. You can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Jarrod Parker is another impressive young A's starter and he will be going for his sixth win of the year. He takes on the 1-5 Brian Duensing.
