On Friday, the Oakland Athletics will visit the Kansas City Royals for a three-game series at Kauffman Stadium. The A's are desperately in need of a series win after being swept in back-to-back series. The Royals, meanwhile, are coming off series wins over the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles and would like nothing more than to stretch Oakland's losing streak to seven games and beyond.
The A's know they will need to get back to their winning ways in order to stay ahead of the suddenly-surging Los Angeles Angels.
