After a much-needed day off on Thursday, the Oakland Athletics will host the New York Yankees for a three-game series at the O.co Coliseum.
Oakland will likely see their biggest home crowds of the year over the weekend, which may consist of mostly dislocated (or merely deluded) Yankees fans. The A's are in second place in the American League West, which is more than the Yankees can say about their spot in their own division. The A's will try to raise some eyebrows (in a good way) as they try to take some games at home against the formidable Yankees.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers:
On Friday, first pitch will be at 7:05 p.m. PT. The game will be televised on CSN California and you can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Ivan Nova comes into the game with a 4-2 record and 5.69 ERA. He'll go up against Tyson Ross, who is looking for his third win.
Saturday's game will start at 1:05 p.m. PT. The game will be televised on CSN California and you can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. The Yankees will be facing old friend Bartolo Colon, who has had a series of rough starts following the fantastic beginning he had in 2012. The Yankees will have their ace CC Sabathia starting things off on Saturday.
The finale on Sunday will also start at 1:05 p.m. PT. The game will be televised on CSN California and you can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. The Yankees will get their first look at lefty phenom Tom Milone, as he gets the start looking for his seventh win of 2012. Hiroki Kuroda takes to the mound for the Yankees, holding a 3-6 record and an ERA of 4.56.
