Athletics Vs. Tigers Series Preview: Oakland Tries To Take Advantage Of Struggling Detroit Team

The Oakland A's are starting to turn some heads with their scrappy play. They host the Detroit Tigers for a four-game series at O.co Coliseum.

Presswire

The Oakland Athletics will host the Detroit Tigers for a four-game series beginning on Thursday night. The A's are coming off a split two-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays, while the Tigers have just dropped two out of three games to the Seattle Mariners.

The A's are surprising a lot of people. They are currently 16-15 and are 4.5 games behind the Texas Rangers in the American League West. The A's are hoping the buzz around them will continue to build as they remain tough competitors and keep scrapping for wins. The Tigers have been playing .500 ball both at home and on the road and are 15-15.
