On Monday, the Oakland Athletics will host the Chicago White Sox for the first game in a three-game series at the O.co Coliseum. The Sox will enter the series 9-6 and a half-game behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central.
Chicago is fresh off a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field where they swept the hometown team. The second game of that sweep featured a perfect game by pitcher Philip Humber, so the White Sox are definitely clicking on all cylinders at this point.
By contrast, the Athletics have just dropped two out of three games to the Cleveland Indians, but hope to wrap up the home stand with a winning series.
On Monday, the game will begin at 7:05 p.m. PT and will air on CSN-CA. You can listen to the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Bartolo Colon, who has been Oakland's best pitcher this season, will get the start. He'll go up against 2-0 right-hander Jake Peavy.
Tuesday's game will start at 7:05 p.m. PT and will air on CSN-CA. You can listen to the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Left-hander Tom Milone will look to improve on his 2-1 record as he goes up against 1-2 Gavin Floyd.
Getaway day will be on Wednesday, as the finale will get underway at 12:35 p.m. PT. There will be no local television broadcast, but you can catch the game on the radio via 95.7 FM The Game. Top prospect Jarrod Parker has been called up and will get the start for Oakland. He'll face LHP Chris Sale.
