Both Cuban free agent Yoenis Cespedes and the Oakland Athletics made waves this offseason when they announced that the in-demand center fielder would be making his home in the East Bay in 2012. Cespedes was a late arrival to Spring Training in Arizona but it appears as though American fans will officially be introduced to the newest member of the Athletics on Sunday.

Jane Lee of MLB.com reports that the A's and Cespedes finalized their four-year deal on Saturday. General manager Billy Beane will introduce Cespedes as a member of the Athletics at a 9:00 a.m. PT news conference on Sunday. Cespedes will wear No. 52, which could end up being this year's hot seller for Athletics jerseys (behind Manny Ramirez, of course.)
A's manager Bob Melvin stated that the team would watch Cespedes work out on the field on Sunday, but the skipper plans not to use the outfielder until he feels the new arrival is ready.
