Yoenis Cespedes Makes Oakland Athletics Debut, Batting Second In Spring Training Lineup

The Oakland Athletics have numerous big-name players at Spring Training camp this year, but none has gotten more attention than Yoenis Cespedes. The young outfielder out of Cuba signed a three-year deal with the A's in February and has reportedly looked great in simulated games and in workout drills. Now the 26-year-old outfielder will try his hand against live pitching.

And as for where you can catch the young phenom making his debut:

This is undoubtably an exciting day for the Athletics, their fans and Cespedes, and it is important to give the young slugger plenty of time to get his feet wet. His coaches and instructors know very little about his ability both on and off the field at this point and it will likely take some time for him to get adjusted to the American game.

In addition to batting second and playing center field this afternoon, Cespedes will be the DH on Sunday.
