2012 Oscar Odds: Moneyball, Brad Pitt Long Shots In Betting Circles

The 84th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 26 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on ABC across the globe. Moneyball is up for six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Adapted Screenplay, Film Editing and Sound Mixing.

According to Bovoda, the odds do not favor the film based on Oakland Athletics' GM Billy Beane very well.

Moneyball is a 40-to-1 shot to win Best Picture. The Artist is the favorite at 1/2

Brad Pitt is 15-to-1 to win Best Actor while The Artist's Jean Dujardin is the favorite.

The Descendants is the odds-on favorite to win Adapted Screenplay while Moneyball is considered the next-best bet.

Over at the Washington Post, predictions don't favor the film either. However, they do say in the Best Actor race that you shouldn't "completely rule out Pitt." However the odds of the film winning Best Picture seem slim to none.
