Last year at this time Oakland A's pitcher Brandon McCarthy was unsure whether or not he'd be even making the Athletics rotation, but this year during Spring Training, McCarthy is ready to grab the bull by the horns as the likely opening day starter for the A's in 2012.
With both Dallas Braden and Brett Anderson coming off of injuries, McCarthy will have a lot of weight on his shoulders this season. Here McCarthy talks to CSN Bay Area about what he expects heading into the season, while catcher Kurt Suzuki and skipper Bob Melvin talks about how McCarthy and the rest of the team are coming together as a majority of the players are still getting to know each other.
