A's Spring Training 2012: Stadium, Cactus League Map And More

The Oakland Athletics pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training this past weekend and have begun throwing their bullpen sessions. Position players report Friday February 24 and the team will conduct its first full workout on Saturday February 25. The schedule flies by after that as the team begins their spring training game schedule a week later on Friday March 2. The A's have a limited schedule this year as they will be heading to Japan for a series with the Mariners the final week in March.

If you are planning on heading down to Arizona for some A's spring training action, Phoenix Municipal Stadium is a great place for some action. The A's spring training home is based near downtown Phoenix at 5999 E. Van Buren Street. It is located north of I-10 Exit 153 (48th) street. Tickets range from $12 for outfield reserved seats to $25 for field box seats. Tickets are easy to get at the stadium, or you can order them online ahead of time.

The Cactus League setup in the greater Phoenix area does require some driving to get to the various stadiums. The closest stadiums to the A's at Phoenix Muni are the Giants at Scottsdale Stadium, the Angels at Tempe Diablo Stadium and the Cubs at HoHoKam Stadium. Here is a complete map of stadiums in the greater Phoenix area.
