Athletics, Red Sox May Play Double-Header Due to Hurricane Irene

According to the San Francisco Chronicles Susan Slusser, the Oakland A's and Boston Red Sox may have to play a double-header due to the fact that hurricane Irene is taking a path that will likely reach land in the Boston area:

Having to stop a game due to some rain is one thing, but when a hurricane is heading your way, you should probably take every precaution possible, like skipping a day and playing a double-header. We will just have to wait and see what Mother Nature feels like doing.
