With the Bay Bridge series only hours away now, San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s fans get ready to step up their smack talk game. The Giants currently own the bragging rights, but the A’s could steal it back and in a hurry at the Big O, starting tonight.
The Giants are going with a bit of a different lineup this evening (what’s new) with Pablo Sandoval getting his first start at first base of the season. Aubrey Huff will get the night off from glove work but will bat fourth as the DH. Bill Hall will get his second start as a Giant batting second, while Miguel Tejada will move back to third giving Brandon Crawford the start at shortstop.
As for the A’s Hideki Matsui will DH once again, putting Josh Willingham in left field. Conor Jackson will be at first, Scott Sizemore at third, and the A’s newly added spark plug Jemile Weeks will be at second batting ninth.
