The Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox have a series finale lunch-time special, kicking off at 11:10am pacific. Brett Anderson will square off with John Danks as the A’s look to grab their second straight series victory. Although it’s a day game, CSN California will be broadcasting the game.
David DeJesus is making a rare centerfield start as Coco Crisp is dealing with some tightness in his lower back. DeJesus has a line of .400/.455/.500 in 22 plate appearances and has had the most success among A’s hitters against Danks. Daric Barton is also getting a day off as the A’s look to keep him in fresh even after last night’s four-hit performance. Andy LaRoche is making the start at first base, giving him starts at every infield position over the last two weeks.

None of the White Sox has more than 12 plate appearances against Brett Anderson, so we don’t have a lot to extrapolate out. Paul Konerko and Alexei Ramirez each have twelve plate appearances against Anderson. Ramirez will be looking to build on yesterday’s monster game in which he hit two home runs and drove in four runs, including the game-winner in the tenth inning.
