Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners, MLB Schedule: Opening Day, Weekend TV Schedule

The Oakland Athletics kick off their 2011 MLB season tonight against the Seattle Mariners and will pick up where they left off last year in regards to their TV schedule. The A's will have 144 of their regular season games broadcast by Comcast Sportsnet California. I can't find whether they'll make any FOX or ESPN appearances, but for now most of their games will appear on CSNCA. Additionally, if you have mlb.tv you can view the remainder of their games not broadcast by CSN California.

For this opening weekend of baseball, today and Sunday will appear on CSN California. Today's game will start at 7:05pm pacific and Sunday's game will start at 1:05pm pacific. The broadcasting crew for all A's games on CSN California will be Glen Kuiper and Ray Fosse. Additionally, tonight's game will be simulcast by MLB Network using the A's announcing crew. Saturday's game will only be available on mlb.tv.

In addition, prior to most home and away games, A’s Pregame Live will present keys to the game, exclusive pregame interviews, feature stories on A's players and the latest team news. Immediately following the final out, A’s Postgame Live will feature expert analysis, game highlights, clubhouse interviews and player reaction, and a preview of the next game. The shows will be hosted by Comcast SportsNet anchor/reporter Henry Wofford, A’s analyst Shooty Babitt and MLB Insider Mychael Urban, along with Kate Longworth serving as game reporter. Additional talent announcements will be made at a later date.

Every Friday home game during the regular season, Comcast SportsNet California hosts Authentic Fan Friday at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum. Fans that purchase a $12 Plaza Level ticket will sit in a special section, and the entire section will be prominently featured in the game telecast. Fans will also receive a $6 food credit and a Comcast SportsNet prize pack which includes an "Authentic Fan" t-shirt, a cheer card, and other special prizes. Visit CSNCalifornia.com/pages/events for additional information.

We'll have previews, news updates and recaps for the rest of this weekend's series. Make sure and also check out Athletics Nation for in-depth A's discussion.
