More baseball, more football news, some other bits scattered around from college, hockey and basketball, you know the drill. Another day in Bay Area sports in the books and a couple more games, even if they didn't go "our" way. Let's get to it.
After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.
The Giants lost yesterday, and as such, ended up in second place in the division behind the Padres. It feels bad, especially because it was such a sorry game to watch. No action, just a big let down. The Padres won their game, which makes it even worse. Still, McCovey Chronicles has a postgame thread of sorts for your perusal.
The A's couldn't pick up a win either, failing to pull off the sweep over the White Sox. It was a slightly more entertaining game than the effort put forth by the Giants, but what are ya gonna do? Not a whole lot, I suppose. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread for you to look over.
The 49ers continue to look forward to the Chiefs. Niners Nation had a prospector's guide for the game on Sunday, and on top of that took a look at Singletary's reasoning behind letting LB Diyral Briggs go, a bit about LB NaVorro Bowman getting the likely start on Sunday, and also a Wednesday injury report concerning who did and did not practice.
