2010 Arizona Fall League: Athletics Prospect Michael Taylor Continues Hot Start In AFL

Coming off a 2010 season in which he struggled with his power numbers, Oakland Athletics outfield prospect Michael Taylor is off to a strong start in the 2010 Arizona Fall League. A day after going 2 for 4 with a home run, Taylor went 3 for 4 with a home run and double, knocking in two runs. In two games, Taylor is hitting .625/.667/1.500 with two home runs.

Oakland A’s minor league starting pitcher Carlos Hernandez made his first appearance of the AFL for Phoenix. Hernandez pitched three innings in relief giving up one hit and striking out one. Hernandez spent the 2010 minor league season with Midland of the AA Texas League. He was 9-3 with a 4.37 era.

The Phoenix Desert Dogs visit the Scottsdale Scorpions tomorrow at 5:35 p.m. Pacific.
