On Nov. 10, the UFC will host UFC on Fuel 6: Franklin vs. Le at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel in Macau. It will air live on FUEL TV and will be headlined by a Middleweight tilt between former champion Rich Franklin and diverse strike Cung Le. The latter of which is from and based in San Jose, and is a carry-over from Strikeforce.
As such, it's very pertinent to us here in the Bay Area. Le will probably never contend for a title, as he's yet to focus 100 percent of his efforts on mixed martial arts, but this is an interesting matchup nonetheless. Le's striking might just give Franklin, the consummate professional and company man, fits. The fight was supposed to go down at a previous event, but injuries postponed it.
Outside of Le, the Bay Area ties on the card are few and far between. David Mitchell and Mav Danzig both have ties to California, but that's it. Below, we've got the full fight card for the event.
