Kings vs. Nuggets score: Sacramento struggles all evening in 122-97 loss

The Kings showed little signs of life Sunday as the Nuggets embarrassed them 122-97 at home.

The Kings dropped their fourth consecutive game Sunday as the Nuggets stormed into Sacramento and left with a 122-97 victory.

Isiah Thomas lead all scorers with 20, but the young point guard was an ugly 3-of-10 from the field with thirteen of his points coming from the charity stripe. DeMarcus Cousins, 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Jason Thompson, 16 points and 10 rebounds, both recorded double-doubles, but they were out dueled by by JaVale McGee and Kosta Koufos in the paint.

Thirteen different Nuggets logged at least five minutes for Denver as the Kings were already dealing with an 18-point deficit by halftime. The Nuggets built that cushion with 16 straight points after the game was tied in the first quarter.

The Kings will now be treated to a short turnaround with the team set to play in Phoenix on Monday evening. This will be the first time that Sacramento has played the Suns this season.
