If the Sacramento Kings didn't have to hit the road, they would almost be a .500 team. Unfortunately, it's required, and the team struggled on the road again in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Forward Francisco Garcia and center DeMarcus Cousins each scored 25 points for the Kings in the loss as the Kings fell to just 1-7 on the road. Percentage-wise, it is the worst road mark in the Western Conference, although the Phoenix Suns have more losses at 2-10.
Only the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards hold worse road records than the Kings.
The Kings fell behind quickly, trailing by 20 points at the half, and were unable to recover. They weren't able to shut down any of the Mavericks, who shot 55.2 percent as a team and ended up with six players in double figures.
The Kings have two more road games on the docket before returning home for a game against the Denver Nuggets.
