NBA scores: Warriors, Kings split back-to-back games

The Warriors fell to the Nuggets and rebounded with a win over the Timberwolves, as the Kings split a pair of games against the Utah Jazz over the weekend.

The Warriors couldn't hold off a second half surge by the Denver Nuggets and dropped Friday night's game, 102-91. David Lee led the Warriors with 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Carl Landry added 19 points and eight rebounds off the bench in the loss. Andre Iguodala scored 21 of his 29 points in the second half to lead the Nuggets to a win.

Golden State (8-6) rebounded in the second of back-to-back games and downed the Minnesota Timberwolves, 96-85, on Saturday night. Klay Thompson scored a season-high 24 points and Stephen Curry chipped in with 20 points of his own to push the Warriors to victory. Carl Landry continued his excellent play off the bench with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Gordon Hayward hit a 22-foot jumper with 4.5 seconds on the clock to cap a comeback and give the Utah Jazz a 104-102 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night. Hayward led all scorers with 23 points, and Kings guard Tyreke Evans led the way for Sacramento with 19 points and five assists.

Sacramento (4-9) got their revenge in a rematch on Saturday night, beating the Jazz 108-97 at Sleep Train Arena. The Kings overcame the ejection of center DeMarcus Cousins in the third quarter, as Tyreke Evans scored a team-high 27points in the win.
