After taking the day off for Thanksgiving on Thursday, the NBA was back in full swing on Friday with 12 games on the schedule and both the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings in action.
Both of the Bay Area's team lost on Friday night, as the Kings fell 104-102 to the Utah Jazz while the Warriors were beaten by the Denver Nuggets, 102-91.
There were three marquee matchups on Friday, starting with the Boston Celtics topping the Oklahoma City Thunder, 108-100. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 27 points and Rajon Rondo had 17 assists as Boston stopped a two-game losing streak. Kevin Durant had 29 points in the loss.
The Los Angeles Clippers were shut down in the second half by the Brooklyn Nets, who came away with an 86-76 victory after holding LA to just 29 points in the second half. The Los Angeles Lakers were also in action, falling to the Memphis Grizzles, 106-98. The Lakers have still not won a game on the road this season.
Houston had a tremendous offensive showing. James Harden and Chandler Parsons turned in the performances of the night, scoring 33 and 31 points respectively, for the Houston Rockets as they blew out the New York Knicks, 131-103.
