Brandon Roy Rumors: Could Former All-Star Land With Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors always seem to be mixed up with this rumor and that rumor once the offseason hits, but rarely do they actually land any of these talents. But in the case of the retired former All-Star Brandon Roy the W's may have an ace in the whole in regards to his return, possibly even making them a front runner if Roy decides to come back to the NBA.

Per The New York Post's Peter Vecsey of Twitter:

OK, I know Roy has knees made something akin to a graham cracker, but if he is healthy he could be a terrific fit in Golden State's backcourt with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. He's personally expressed interest in playing for the Lakers, but his relationship with Bob Myers is something that can not be overlooked, especially since he is now the one holding all the cards as Warriors GM, not trying to figure out the cards as an agent.

Roy played only 47 games for the Trailblazers in the 2010-11 season before declaring his retirement. The obvious caveat is the health of his knees, but if he can be productive he could be worth picking up.
