No.
Well, no is too harsh. It could happen, but I'd be betting the odds to go the other way. There are so many other basketball teams, you know.
The suggestion of Lin to the Knicks came up here from Geoff James of CSN Bay Area.
But with Amar'e Stoudemire reportedly whispering to Knicks brass about soon to be free-agent Steve Nash, there is a scenario where Jeremy Lin could find himself somewhere other than New York. Stoudemire:
"Everyone knows that Steve loves New York and that New York loves Steve. I love Steve. It would be great to have him here next year."
So then. Is a Lin return to Golden State a possibility?
Lin didn't leave Golden State under the best of terms, and the Warriors would really have to be ready to jettison Stephen Curry if they want Lin to take over primary point guard responsibilities. Klay Thompson is pretty set to be the shooting guard of the future, so unless Golden State wants to totally rebuild their backcourt (which isn't really their weakest part of the floor).
Lin might be on the move this offseason if the Knicks decide to look in a different direction.
To talk about the remote possibility of Lin and the Warriors, head on over to Golden State of Mind. Talk about Linsanity with his current team (the Knicks) over at Posting and Toasting.
