David Lee Injury: Warriors Forward Undergoes Successful Surgery

The Golden State Warriors suffered from a bad case of the injury bug in 2012, seeing most of their starting lineup go down at one point or another with a serious ailment. Star forward David Lee went down with torn abductor and abdominal numbers a few weeks ago and has undergone successful surgery, according to a message he sent this afternoon.

"Everything went very well," Lee said via text to CSN Bay Area. "Very sore but should be better soon."

You can expect Lee to miss 4-6 weeks before returning to basketball activities, meaning he should be ready for summer workouts and the start of the 2012-13 season. Given how much talent Golden State has on their roster along with their lottery pick next summer, they could be in for much more success next year.

Best of luck to David as he recovers and rehabs from surgery.
