The Golden State Warriors came home to Oralce Arena with high hopes against one of the Western Conferences best squads in the Memphis Grizzlies, but behind another head-scratching performance from Mark Jackson's squad, the W's took the loss 110-92.
The Grizz came out firing, coming out with a 21-4 lead to start the game. The W's never recovered, trailing large most of the way. Monta Ellis and Klay Thompson led the way with 16 points apiece, while Stephen Curry scored 15 points off the bench, still a bit hobbled with a foot injury. Ekpe Udoh added nine and six boards as well.
Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol each had themselves a solid double-double with Gay dropping 26 points and 12, while Gasol 17 points and 12 rebounds. and Marreese Speights added 18 points as well.
The Warriors don't play again until Saturday but it won;t get any easier as they play host to the Dallas Mavericks. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
