Curry had offseason surgery to 'strengthen' his oft-injured right ankle, something that has gave him trouble for most of his NBA career thus far. But after multiple re-aggravations of the ankle the team decided to keep him shelved for a while to see how it reacted. Obviously it hasn't reacted well enough if they want him out for two more weeks again.
With the Warriors season well beyond saving, and an attempt to lockup a lottery protected pick in this year's NBA draft, the W's might as well send him back to Charlotte for the rest of the season, because he shouldn't even consider suiting up again this year. No need to risk further injury losing.
With the future of the franchise basically contingent upon the ankles of Curry and recently acquired Andrew Bogut, it would behoove the team to tread lightly when dealing with their injuries moving forward, pun intended.
