Warriors Recall Chris Wright From D-League, Waive Big Man Earl Barron

After putting up some rather impressive numbers down in the NBA D-League recently, the Golden State Warriors have recalled power forward Chris Wright, while waiving center Earl Barron to make room for him on the 15 man roster.

Wright, the 6-8 forward out of Dayton University, played in three games with the for the W’s D-League affiliate, the Dakota Wizards. and made the most of his time there. Wright averaged 20.7 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 2.33 blocks in 31.0 minutes per contest, garnering himself enough attention to make it back to the show.

As for Barron,who was signed as some emergency help when Kwame Brown went down with his pectoral injury, appeared in only two games for Golden State, averaging 2.0 points in 4.5 minutes with the W’s.

Wright began the season on the Warriors roster and saw minutes in five games, averaging 1 point in 3.2 minutes of play.

The Warriors could decide to bring someone to replace Barron, as Monday is the first day that NBA teams can sign players to 10-day contracts, something to keep an eye on moving forward.
