Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat has always struggled with his foot issues. He takes quick vicious steps on the court and it always seems to cause him trouble during the season. Wade rarely plays a whole season without having to miss time. He needs the rest to ensure he's ready for the playoff run.
With a short and extended season to deal with in 2011-12, the Heat might have to be judicious with how they use Wade. Brian Windhorst of ESPN reports.
Wade's absence might not be a big deal against Golden State, who aren't exactly the deepest team. LeBron James and Chris Bosh will probably be more than enough to deal with a team that is even smaller than they are. And of course, if he shows up for this one, it'd be a huge upset for the Warriors to pull off victory.
