Warriors Vs. Pistons Preview: Golden State Still Looking For First Road Win

The Golden State Warriors were looking to start their four game roadie out East on a high note against the Charlotte Bobcats, but instead are left licking their wounds as they head to Detroit to take on the Pistons Sunday afternoon at the Palace.

The Warriors (3-8) remain winless of the road this season, while the Pistons (3-9) stopped a six-game losing streak of their own against, ironically enough against the Bobcats on Friday in Charlotte.

But like many other places around the league, the Palace of Auburn Hills is not a kind place to the W’s, who have last all but one of their last 16 games there including the last four in a row. If they want to get a win, Monta Ellis is going to have to do better than he did on Saturday.

Ellis finished with 18 points, but on 6-26 shooting from the field, something that won’t get it done against Detroit. The W’s also let the young Bobcats run roughshod on them, finishing the game shooting about 50% as a team, another thing they must fix heading into this matchup.

With all the injuries, Monta and David Lee are going to have to keep their production up, and hope someone else has a big night as well to get the win.
