Kirk Lacob Named GM of D-League's Dakota Wizards

The son of Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob has been named the general manager of their NBADL team the Dakota Wizards, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The Wizards were holding a Bay Area tryout for their squad when a keen observer noticed that Kirk had been listed as GM in a news release from the Warriors, breaking the story wide open.

The 23 year old impressed many in the W's front office last season, giving papa Lacob enough confidence to give the kid a shot as the GM in the NBADL (doesn't hurt to have your Dad own the team either).

For those interested in trying out for the Wizards, there will be an open try out on October 15 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Dream Courts on 22290 Hathaway Avenue in Hayward. There is a participation fee of $125 if paid by Sept. 23, then increases to $150 after that date.
