The fans of the Golden State Warriors got a fleeting taste of success tonight as they routed a Portland Trailblazers team consisting of mostly reserves by a score of 110-86 at Oracle Arena this evening.
Four of the five startes for the W’s tonight were in double figures, lead by Reggie Williams with 28 points including 4-8 from downtown, Dorell Wright had 20, Steph Curry had 18 and 9 assists, while David Lee had 13 and 6 boards; Jeremy Lin also had a great showing with 12 points in 24 minutes off the bench. As a team the W’s shot 51% and had an impressive 15 steals, compared to the Blazers atrocious 33% from the field and 6 steals.
As previously mentioned, Portland used a lot of reserves tonight, led by Paddy Mills’ 23 points, Wesley Matthews had 18, while Armon Johnson added 12 and Luke Babbit 11. Portland out rebounded the W’s 48-41, but also had 19 turnovers.
