Warriors vs. Nuggets, NBA Schedule Preview: Warriors Face Nuggets Without Monta Ellis

Coming off of a disappointing loss to the Sacramento Kings last night, the Golden State Warriors will have to regroup quickly as they head to the mile high city to take on the Denver Nuggets tonight in the second night of a back-to-back. If playing in the low altitude of Denver on on the second night of a back-to-back wasn’t hard enough, the W’s will be without their star guard Monta Ellis who suffered a possible concussion last night at Oracle, and will not travel with the team to Denver.

In their last meeting at Orcale, Monta dropped 37 on the Nugs to get a 116-114 win at a time when Denver still had Carmelo Anthony. Now facing the new look Nuggets for the first time, The W’s will have a stiff test playing one of the hotter teams in the NBA right now; especially without their top scorer and leader Monta Ellis. Steph Curry and David Lee are going to have to step their game up for the remaining two games of the season if Golden State doesn’t want to finish 0-2.

Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. and can be seen on CSN Bay Plus and heard on KNBR 1050 AM.
