Warriors v. Cavaliers, NBA Scores: Warriors Beat Cavs 95-85 Behind Monta's Carrer High Six 3's

Monta Ellis shot a carrer high six 3 pointers on 9 attempts, finishing with 24 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-85 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. It was a well contested matchup in the first half, but the Cavs proved to be no contest for the Warriors in the second half.

Not to be outdone by Monta, Steph Curry had 23 points on 10-18 shooting as well as 6 assists and 7 rebounds (4 offensive) for the game. David Lee had his second straight double-double with 14 points and 14 boards, while Dorell Wright added 7 and 4 assists. As a team the Warriors 39-86 (45.3%) 14 turnovers, and a staggering 11 blocks, three of which came by the hands of Vladimir Radmanovic.

The Cavs never regained the lead after halftime, shooting a dismal 31-85 (36.5%) form the floor led by Baron Davis’ 19 and 6 assists, while Ryan Hollins added 14 and Samardo Samuels added 11 and 9 boards. The Cavs out rebounded the W’s 44-40 but turned the ball over 19 times for 21 Golden State points. The Cavs have no lost an astounding 51 games, 24 of which are at home.

With the win it moves the Warriors to 28-35 on the season with 19 games left to try to make a playoff push. The Warriors now head to the Garden State to take on the New Jersey Nets in their second game of a back-to-back tomorrow at the Prudential Center in Newark.
