Warriors v. Cavaliers, NBA Score Update: Warriors Trail Cavaliers 30-18 After First Quarter

The Golden State Warriors came into Cleveland looking to get their second win on this road trip, now they’re trying to not get embarassed by one of the worst teams in the NBA. After a dismal 8-45 start the Cavaliers have turned it around recently going 4-5 in their last nine games, and came out tonight ready to play as the Cavaliers lead the Warriors 30-18.

The game started out with a very quick pace, and the Cavs were beating the Warriors at their own game. Golden State was missing layups and taking poor shots, and got dominated on the glass by a 17-8 margin. They Cavs were getting dunks in transition, Baron Davis was throwing alley-oops, and the Warriors seemed to be stunned out of the gate. Even with their recent improvements it really is a joke that the Warriors can get owned by a team that’s so bad.

David Lee had 6 and 4 boards, Louis Amundson had four off the bench, Monta Ellis has 2 points on 1-4 shooting, and Ekpe Udoh has 2 blocks. As a team the Warriors shot 8-22 (36.4%) in that first quarter while the Cavs shot 13-30 (43.3%) lead by Samardo Samuels with 9 and 2 boards and J.J. Hickson had 8 and 5 rebounds.

The Warriors better get themselves into the game quickly or this game might go down as their worst loss of the season thus far.
