After the Oklahoma City Thunder extended their lead to as much as 15 points in the third quarter the Golden State Warriors used an 16-2 run of their own to get back into it, eventually finishing the quarter down 78-77 to Oklahoma City.
It’s been the Steph Curry show for the Warriors tonight with 11 of his 23 points coming in the third quarter. Curry’s shooting 9-13 from the floor including 3-4 from 3-point land and will hopefully be kept on the floor by Keith Smart so he can continue his great shooting night. David Lee has a double-double already with 17 points and 11 boards, the rest of the team has 16 boards collectively. Ekpe Udoh showed some range by dropping a few jumpers and has 12 points and 2 blocks, while Monta Ellis has been more of a facilitator tonight with only 8 points but 7 assists.
As for the Thunder Kevin Durant is leading the way with 20, Serge Ibaka added 15, and Russell Westbrook 12 and 6 dimes. Oklahoma City only had 20 points in the quarter on 3-21 shooting as a team.
Should be an exciting fourth quarter, let’s see how the Warriors react to the pressure of the Thunder’s potent offense in the last 12 minutes.
