Golden State Warriors Partnering with U.S. Fund for UNICEF to Aid Japan Quake Victims

The Golden State Warriors announced today that they will be partnering with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in an effort to raise money for the victims of the recent Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that has devastated the region. The Japanese Government recently said that it could take an estimated $308 billion to repair the damage done, so they can obviously use every dollar they can get.

Golden State has decided to donate $5 from every remaining ticket sale made from their next two home games against the Toronto Raptors on Friday March 25th and the Washington Wizards on Sunday the 27th. As well as the ticket sale donations there will be members from the U.S. Fund for UNICEF stationed at select entrances to Oralce Arena, as well as throughout the stadium for fans to make cash donations. The Warriors will also have a silent auction at both Firday and Sunday's game with a portion of the proceeds going to Japan relief as well.

If you can make it to the game, please do whatever you can to help the relief efforts. If you can't you can vist the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's website here to make a donation online.
