Warriors v. Suns, NBA Scores: Suns Drop Warriors 108-97 Despite 30 From Dorell Wright

It was another ugly road loss at the U.S. Airways Center this evening as the Phoenix Suns were in control the entire night, eventually beating the Golden State Warriors 108-97. It was a very ugly night for most of the W’s, except for Dorell Wright.

Wright’s 30 point performance was one of the only silver linings on the dark cloud that was tonight’s game, especially with Monta Ellis only scoring 8 points on 3-11 shooting. As a team the Warriors shot 42% while committing 21 turnovers, as well as having only 16 assists on their 35 made field goal attempts. As for the rest of the team David Lee had 16 and 10 boards, Steph Curry had 15, and Al Thornton had 9 and 9 boards off the bench.

As for the Suns, their offensive attack was very well balanced as Channing Frye, Steve Nash, and Grant Hill all scored 17, while Marcin Gortat added 18 and 9 boards from off the bench.

With the loss the Warriors move to 30-39, and I won’t be mentioning the playoffs anymore. Next up for the W’s on the road trip are the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center on Sunday.
