Warriors v. Kings, NBA Schedule Preview: Warriors Look to Make it Three in a Row Against Kings

After taking back-to-back games at Oracle Arena over the weekend, the Golden State Warriors make the short bus ride over the hill to play the Sacramento Kings this evening. It’s been a while since this matchup has meant any more than personal pride and bragging rights as the top NBA team in the area, but hopefully the recent speculation of the Kings relocation to Anaheim will have them excited to be the best in the Bay Area.

The Kings currently sit in last place in at 15-49 but have proved tougher to beat that their record might suggest when it comes to the Warriors. In the last two meetings in December and January the games went into overtime, although the Warriors won both of them. For the third game in a row David Lee will have the opportunity to shot down another productive big man in DeMarcus Cousins. Lee kept Dwight Howard and Kevin Love under 10 points in each of his last two games, and will hopefully but up to the task again tonight against Cousins.

Tipoff is set for 7:00 PT and can be found on CSN Bay Area or heard on KNBR 680.
