Warriors v. Timberwovles, NBA Schedule Preview: Warriors Looking for Back-to-Back Wins as They Host T'Wolves

After their exhilarating 123-120 overtime win over the Orlando Magic on Friday the Golden State Warriors are looking to get back-to-back wins at Oracle Arena tonight for the first time in a month as they host the Minnesota Timberwovles. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PT (remember daylight savings folks!) and will be televised on CSN Bay Area and broadcast on KNBR 680.

The Warriors are looking to continue their magic from Friday night when they hit a new franchise record with 21 3-pointers for the game, with Dorell Wright hitting 8 of them and Monta Ellis 7. And despite a win over an Eastern Conference powerhouse like Orlando, the team needs to focus on the task at hand with a dangerous T’Wolves team despite their abismal 17-50 record. It was just two weeks ago that the Warriors lost to Minnesota 126-123 at the Target Center in Minneapolis behind double-double machine Kevin Love, who now is the record-holder for most consecutive double-doubles with 53 and counting.

The Warriors are going to have to really lock it down on the glass if they want to end Love’s incredible streak, but if they continue to shoot the light out like last game, than this game may be over before it even starts. I think Monta and Dorell will continue to light it up (although probably not as much as Friday’s game) and after a strong defensive showing against Dwight Howard, I think David Lee is going to have a pretty good game himself. I’ll be going to this game too, can’t wait to see how this one plays out!
