Stephen Curry Injury Update: Warriors Guard Hurts Ankle In Preseason Game, Going For X-Rays

The Golden State Warriors have big hopes for the 2011-2012 season, but their chances may have taken a big hit on Tuesday night. Playing against the Kings, star guard Stephen Curry went down with an ankle injury and had to be helped off the court. The severity of the injury was not known at the arena and he has since gone for x-rays. We will likely know more on his status in the near future.

Paired with Monta Ellis, the Warriors expected to have one of the most explosive -- if not the most explosive -- backcourt in the NBA. There were concerns with Curry's ankle heading into training camp after undergoing surgery; now all Golden State fans can do is hope their sharp-shooter is OK and the injury is nothing more than a sprain.
