Warriors Trade Lou Amundson To Pacers For Brandon Rush, According To Report

According to CSN Bay Area’s Matt Steinmetz, the Golden State Warriors will send forward Louis Amundson to the Indiana Pacers for guard Brandon Rush; which will become official on Monday according to Steinmetz.

Rush, 26, in coming into his fourth season in the league, played 67 games for Indiana last year, averaging 9.1 points and 3.2 rebounds a game for the Pacers in the regular season, and even got a taste of some postseason play against the Chicago Bulls last season.

As for Amundson, he had become a bit of an odd man odd with the W’s as Ekpe Udoh, Kwame Brown, David Lee and Andris Biedrins will likely be taking up most of the time in the post, as well as rookie big man Jeremy Tyler developing.

This move will help provide Golden State with more depth and options off the bench at the guard position, as well as taking some of the pressure off of rookie Klay Thopmson in his first year with this reconstructing franchise.
