2011-2012 NBA Season: Warriors Excited About Getting Back To Work

At long last, the NBA lockout is over. The 2011-2012 NBA season will open on December 25, much to the delight of NBA fans and players everywhere. The Golden State Warriors are pleased as punch regarding the early announcement of this Christmas gift, with players unashamedly expressing their jubilation.

According to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle, Warriors player Dorell Wright sent a particularly joyous text to the newspaper on Sunday.

"Man, the only thing that comes to my mind is FINALLY!! I'm really looking forward to getting back in the gym with my teammates and new coaches."

The "new coaches" have been getting ready in a pair of boot camps held recently in California. New head coach Mark Jackson has assembled his coaching staff and is fast-tracking them to being ready despite a short pre-season.

Power forward David Lee is also excited about getting back to work:

"It's great to be back. Thanks to all of the fans who were patient. Can't wait to get back to the bay and continue my preparations."

I'm sure all of the Golden State fans are delighted by the sudden end of the lockout and the announced resumption of play. It certainly sounds like the Warriors players are excited, and their enthusiasm will most likely be extremely contagious.
